YES How YOU Live Life Really Does Matter

Remember, people want to work with people who are inspiring, vibrant/healthy and balanced BECAUSE  that is what they would like to be too!

It’s very simple human nature!

ARE you all three of those? Or do you compromise thinking it won’t make a difference….in 21st century client attraction it makes a BIG difference! People don’t buy off of good product presentations…they are buying you!

In today’s new era of business, people choose to work with people that “they” want to be like and that “inspire” them. Decisions on who to work with are not made as much on products but NOW on people. There are strong logical reasons as to why this is so in our new era of business but…that lesson is for another day.

If you have ALL of the best systems implemented and lots of great lists you are still at a huge disadvantage if you don’t live the three powerful client attractors. Remember, decisions are made off of human emotion!

So many business people don’t get this and they wonder why they are not attracting MORE!

If you are stressed, tired, uninspiring and all business, and you don’t seem vibrant healthy and balanced then they will not be inspired to work with you. On the other hand if you are all three of these

  • Inspiring
  • Vibrant & Healthy
  • Balanced

Then they will be hugely more attracted to working with YOU. It’s human nature.  They feel they will have more of those things if they work with you.    I see it over and over ~ it is SO obvious. I know deep down you already know this so basically I am here to tell you stop kidding yourself!!

So, are you all three of those? Or are you compromising and kidding yourself that it doesn’t matter.  Well, that is something only YOU can answer.  Be honest with yourself and understand that when you have all three of these YOU WILL ATTRACT more clients (loads more) ~ because people want to work with Inspired and balanced people it’s a natural powerful magnet!

Watching The Olympics & Thinking Of You!

While I am watching and experiencing the Olympics I have been thinking of YOU! Advisors!

Why is it that these Olympic athletes can reach the top in the “world” in their sport and accomplish amazing things under incredible pressure and many advisors can not achieve the more simple task of attracting a bunch of ideal clients?

I know, I just kind of said that in a harsh way BUT there’s a reason I did that. Perspective!!  Part of my job is to give people perspective so that they can shift their mindset into achieving great things.

Many of you know that I have been a long time serious student of sports and performance psychology. Right now I am going to give you some wisdom and perspective that I hope will shift YOUR business and YOUR life!  If even just a little.

It’s actually very simple. If you are not currently attracting ALL of the ideal clients you want then…it is simply not as important to you as winning a gold medal is to the Olympic athletes you are watching on TV.

In other words do you REALLY want to attract a bunch of ideal clients? Not an easy question to hear but ~ how important is it to you “really” to attract a big bunch of ideal clients.

You are probably too busy worrying about other things and focusing on other things OR my favorite “dabbling” in client attraction. You are probably too busy convincing yourself that attracting clients is not as important as other stuff in your business.

How much do you think that these athletes are “dabbling” in their sport!!? Pretty crazy statement huh.

First things first ~ have you admitted yet that attracting ideal clients is the way to make tons more money and be highly successful in your business. OR are you still of the belief that attracting clients is secondary and it’s all about asset management!!?   If that’s the case then time to stop reading….LOL!  Because… in order for a business to be highly successful it needs to be attracting ideal clients continually.

It’s like telling an athlete that want to go to the Olympics…just do the competitions don’t worry about the training part.

Think of it this way: Your asset management and financial planning work are likened to the actual competition.   Your client attraction is the training the athlete goes through in order to do their competitions and be great at it.

In your practice:

YES it’s about giving them incredibly powerful advice that changes their lives and their families lives for the positive, however, you must have lots of ideal clients to do that with AND have more coming in regularly!

Here’s some more perspective for you. Do you have the passion and the belief to make it happen?

Do you truly have the passion to be hugely successful? Or is this just all a career to do for your life and “just” be comfortable enough.

Olympic athletes have MORE than passion they have a huge desire and a “calling” to accomplish greatness - to push the limits of what was thought of as possible, breaking world records for human sport.

Are you  pushing the limits of what is possible in YOUR business? Are you even accomplishing what has been done many times before you ~ a thriving multi-million dollar practice if that’s what you want?  Or an ideal practice you LOVE filled with all the ideal clients you need ~ while you work less time?  Why not?  Do you have the passion to do it? Are you “focused on the right thing?  Why not?

What do YOU need to do to become exceptionally successful in your business? Here’s a BIG one  ~ What do you need to do to reach a great many people and change their lives with your advice?

There is ONE answer ~  YOU need to attract a lot of ideal clients in!  It’s not a complicated answer but it may not be what you want to hear.   In order to achieve this you must have the right inspired mindset.

So athlete…the answer is you need to do the training and you need to do it better and more consistently than your competition!

Are you passionate enough about your goal and what you do in order to shift to achieving YOUR greatness.

You may have lost your passion along the way. You may need to get back on-track.  You may have clouded your mind so much that you are totally uninspired about your work.  If that’s so, then it’s time to get it back on track!!

THIS is why I will be focusing on teaching you (advisors) how to access your own inspired mindset that will shift you to achieving the dreams you were meant to. I will be doing this first through my Client Attraction Masters Circle and then the launch of my downloadable self guided programs on Mindset Lessons to achieve powerful results in your business and your life!

This is truly one of my most favorite subjects to teach and to talk about. I have spent a great many years as a student of the incredible possibilities and experiencing next level after next level myself.  So I personally know what it takes and how to do it.    I have done it in business, in prosperity and in sport.

This has everything to do with your success in client attraction!  Everything!

Have you ever felt as if you were meant to achieve much higher levels and much bigger greatness than where you are now? Have you had dreams of who you could be and where you could be that seem so far away now that they are but very faint and feel ridiculously out of reach?

Think about the times that you have not shared your gratitude but felt grateful.  Now think about the times that you or others have felt grateful and shared it.

The impact is truly immense! However, so many of us skip the part about sharing how grateful or thankful we are for something someone did for us.   It’s almost as if when we feel grateful we assume the other individual already knows we are grateful.

Believe it or not, showing gratitude has proven to translate directly into business and prosperity! There are think tanks working on the power of gratitude  ~ the research would amaze you.

Those of you who are experienced Client Attraction Masters Circle members have learned this lesson very well. However, it is so huge that it is worth reminding because it is way too easy to fall into old habits.

As I am sure you know, we are in a full blown new era of advising.  We are now officially in This is a new era of 21st century advising and that calls for 21st century client attraction. What worked in the past in many cases does not work now.   This includes how advisors hold themselves out to the public.

The image that you portray to the public, or as I like to call it the world, is your big opportunity to attract people in to you.   It has everything to do with how you bring in clients SO make it good and do it right!

In the past, advisors liked to create a feel of having a larger company behind them. It was a feel of being extraordinarily professional and almost institutional.  This served a real purpose ~ to give the image of stability.  Those rules do not apply in this new era of advising, however, a great many advisors are still doing it this way.  If you are still stuck in the old model you may be wondering why your business slowed down SO much…….. Is the pressure to attract more clients getting in the way of YOU attracting more clients?

For most Advisory Professionals stress and pressure  gets in the way of bringing in those great clients! How are you under pressure?  When you are in a tight situation and have to bring in more paying clients because of self imposed pressure or because of income pressure ~ how do you react?   Do you feel it is easier or harder to bring in more clients?   My guess is it’s harder for you.  It’s so easy to get caught up in the goal and the pressure.

A little bit of pressure can often be a great thing but once it tips the meter it can become “very” detrimental to your success in client attraction.

In Order To Attract More Clients ~ Stop Asking For The Meeting!

Wow okay that was a strange statement wasn’t it?  Advisors have been told to “ask” for the meeting.  Alright well maybe I should clarify a bit more.  Stop asking for the meeting before they “Get To Know You Better”.

Old school prospecting teaches advisors to push and push until you get a meeting.  To “sell” them.  I am here to tell you that does not work, however, you have already probably figured that out for yourself.   I am sure you have experienced a great new client that actually was excited to meet with you and you didn’t have to push.

Branding That Attracts Your Ideal Clients AND lots of them!

Let’s talk about branding today. For those of you who are Masters Circle members there are few things that I am going to say right now that will be “very” familiar and a few things that will be totally new.

First let me start with 5 super important words of advice for you!

Stop Trying To Fit In!

YOU are your biggest asset in branding. The you that is unique, genuine and natural.  I know, I know, for most advisors this is not easy.  We are so used to giving off a certain image.  Well I am here to tell you that doesn’t work anymore in this new era of global business and especially in advising.

You’ve heard me say that 21st century client attraction is all about being genuine, natural and uniquely YOU. You’ve heard me say that this new era of financial services (globally) is “really” different and that people make their decisions very differently on who they will entrust their money to and whose advice they will listen to.  Well here’s how it work with branding.  In a previous lesson I showed you how branding is YOU.  It’s not your company and it’s not your team’s name it’s YOU.  That’s how it works these days and that’s how clients come in these days.  Let’s look at the old vs. the new.  The new being what works NOW to attract a lot more clients a lot easier.

In the old days many advisors branded themselves as institutional with really large teams or what looked like in their branding as really large teams. They branded themselves as a larger company or relied on being with a larger company as their brand.  They tried to blend in to a professional veneer within that world of columns and old school banks and money management firms.   Their websites were (are) steel buildings on institutional virtual pages where everything smells and feels like large institution even if they are a small team.  Very little can be found about them, who they are and why they are unique.  In short there is NO personality to them!  This is a HUGE issue in our new era of advising.

The advisors that are winning today in this new era do everything from a genuine transparent and natural branding point of view. It’s much more real and much more relaxed.  They are not afraid to let people know who they are and most of all let their unique personality, experiences and excellent judgment shine in their branding.  YOU are YOUR biggest asset in branding!  I can’t say that enough.

The bottom line is!!  People NOW, more than ever before in our history, want to work with “people” not institutions. They want to work with people who are unique and genuine.  People who they have the opportunity to get to know in more than JUST business!

This is not just financial services there has been  a lot of talk about this in the world of global business and branding. Today I am showing you two wildly successful commercials to show you what I am talking about.   These are two of the top rated ads running on TV right now.  Totally cool ads!

This Intel ad has “nothing” to do with a product or how well it works. It has everything to do with its personality.   It shows its personality in a BIG way in this commercial.

This Travelers Insurance ad (one of the most popular on the air right now) is all about personality and as far away from institutional as you can get! Your assignment:

Start showing people who you are!  Let your personality come through.  Be natural, genuine and unique.  Here are three first places you want to do that.
