I want to share one of my favorite quotes with you.

Think about the times that you have not shared your gratitude but felt grateful. Now think about the times that you or others have felt grateful and shared it.
The impact is truly immense! However, so many of us skip the part about sharing how grateful or thankful we are for something someone did for us. It’s almost as if when we feel grateful we assume the other individual already knows we are grateful.
Believe it or not, showing gratitude has proven to translate directly into business and prosperity! There are think tanks working on the power of gratitude ~ the research would amaze you.
Here is how it works! When you are grateful for something you will receive more of it. For example ~ if you are truly grateful for your favorite clients or for someone giving you referrals then you will receive more of them. The reason this happens is actually very simple. Let me give you an example. When someone gives you a gift or does something nice for you and you show gratitude to them it then triggers an emotion that they have a positive influence on another individual and that is a “strong” human need. Human beings intrinsically WANT and NEED to be able to have an impact on something bigger than themselves.
“Gratitude perpetuates receiving even more of what you are grateful for! Therefore, it brings you more of what you want!”
However, I have noticed that many advisors curb their gratitude for fear of coming off less than professional or needy. There is an old school veneer that still lingers in the advisor world that dictates we must always have our image filter on. Unfortunately, that translates into many advisors coming off looking like they are entitled, impersonal and institutional. For 21st Century Client Attraction this is “very” important! Remember, this all translates into how you are perceived by current and prospective clients.
Consider sending your clients a sincere message of gratitude. If that seems strange to you then give yourself a little reflection time as to why?

Here are a few things to get you started:
First Your Life: Take some refection time over this holiday and write a “full” list of everything that you can think of that you are grateful for in YOUR life! Then take that list down to the top 10 most grateful items AND write them on a card and look at them in the morning when you rise and in the evening before bed. If you “actually” do it you will see a shift right away in your life! If you don’t believe me then just try it and see AND listen to Jerry’s interview.
Now Your Business: Write a list of “every” single individual that you are grateful for in your business. Now write next to their name exactly why you are grateful for them. You now have everything you need to start writing them a note to let them know that you are grateful for them and why. Not just a thank you…but write to them why you are grateful for them or what they have done for you. Again, once you do this exercise you will see a shift right away in your business.
