You Must Have A “Know Me Better System” for Client Attraction

At Inspired Advisor we call it: a KMB system.

You must have a way to continue to connect with prospects and a way to allow them to get to know you without committing. As you implement your various client attraction systems and strategies you will need a KMB system to feed into it. Not everyone wants to meet with you immediately and it is highly effective to give them the opportunity to see what you do, how you do it and who you are.

It is effectively the best way to build a really large and fantastic warm prospect list ~ which will facilitate you attracting A LOT more clients!

Today I want to talk about the fact of having a KMB system and why you need one. Later we will talk about how to do it and how to build it. I will be having some upcoming Masters Circle calls on the step-by-step how toos for the various ways to build your systems for optimal client attraction ~ along with HOW to build your list.

Here are some examples of a “Know Me Better System”

A plain old email list where you update people on various things that you find to be important. However, don’t make it ALL research reports. * NOT optimal but anything is better than nothing in this case.

- A monthly Newsletter (optimal)

- A seminar invitation list as long as you do them often

- A conference calls series list

The main goal is to give them something to sign up for that you can keep in touch with them in a positive way and to showcase what you do. This is a way for prospects to know who you are and to start feeling comfortable with you.

The Know Me Better system that you choose must…

Really truly give them a connect with you and give them a good amount of information often enough so they feel as if they know you well.

Have some depth to it so that they don’t just get one side of you and your businesses. It really needs to represent your real relationship with clients and your real businesses. Be open, honest and upfront in your Know Me Better System.

For best results it should also be the same list that your clients are on. If your prospects can see exactly how you interact and how and what you give your clients they will connect with you must faster and much better.

I can’t begin to tell you how many advisors I have talked to that do not have a “Know Me Better System” and they wonder why they are not attracting clients? It is so important that you have a system for real client attraction. It is so much easier to attract clients when you have something to offer to connect with them and stay in-front of them. Many advisors are using the old methods of plain old dripping to ask them for business. There is no reason to go through all of that when there is a way that is hugely more effective for attracting clients ~ your Know Me Better System.

A few more tips for bigger client attraction:

  1. Have a communication system that touches them “at least” once a month, if possible more.
  2. Have a communication system that is consistent, fresh, dynamic & inspiring.

Your assignment:

Evaluate your options for a “Know Me Better System” for your business.

Strongly consider doing a monthly newsletter

Strongly consider doing a monthly conference call series (I will be teaching this in the next few months in our Masters Circle)

If you do not have either of these set up right now then in the meantime you should be build your email list and send something out every few weeks that give them an update.
